New Dusk Fades

My final year/graduation thesis project. New Dusk Fades is an animated short that explores the dilemma of the human mind and heart. Delving into the themes of Survival, Loneliness and Hope in a science fiction narrative.

Fully made in Blender and rendered with EEVEE, it is a deeply personal work that took me about 5 months to produce, excluding pre-production like animatics and concept art. The original animatic has become quite different from what it is now, but I am still happy with the final version. Maybe one day, I can revisit and remake it to its full scope.

It was quite a journey to produce an animation within this scope alone; I sure could not have done it without the support of my friends, family and advisor. And last but not least, a huge shoutout and thanks to my friend and composer, Matt Wallis, for scoring the entire film. (Except for one track that I amateurishly scored)
